The Holidays

During the holidays it gets hard to remember what we are celebrating until that moment.

When cooking and preparing food for Thanksgiving things may feel rushed and pressed for time. As soon as the family, friends, and even pets settle for the abundent meal the meaning comes back to us. Suddenly we are thankful. We are thankful for the moments we share. We are thankful for the people in our lives. We are thankful for life and the gift it is to live.

When shopping for Christmas, we get caught up in getting more than giving. we get consumed with sales and the bigger and best things or just the next thing. But when it really comes down to it, all that matters is the fact that you are together. You have your family with you and the love is there. Love is all that matters.

Sagging Pants

The "Pants on the Ground" epidemic has hit kids and teens alike all at once. The disrespect it shows not only for themselves, but for the rest of civilization. Belts aren't that expensive and are sold everywhere. I myself wore the same belt for three years. Use rope or just get the right sized jeans.
This "fashion statement" is illegal for a reason. And what kind of statement does this make? You don't know how to dress yourself? You're gay? You're an ex- or current convict? This sagging of the pants started in Prison, so let's all just leave it there.

Gifts From Friends

Most people take gifts from friends for granted. Sometimes it is because they are afraid it means something more or it doesnt mean enough.

Here is some advice: Next time a friend gives you a gift don't analize the meanig of the gift just be thankful they gave you one.
